As usual, I’ll be servicing pizza (including gluten free options) but now we’ve added a Q&A! Ask them questions like “What kind of deodorant do you use?” or maybe…some dancing related questions. Your choice!
Get Feedback on Your Dancing!
Have you ever wanted to get input from more experienced dancers and instructors on your dancing? Choose the EXTREME PASS and you’ll get access to a 1 hour feedback session with Colorado’s top Advanced and All-Star dancers. Attendance capped at 30 leads and 30 follows for this pass type.
Workshop Details
- Signature Morris Moves & Victoria Styling – Not too much theory, think unique moves and fun styling!
- To Hitch or Not to Hitch – You’ll explore the connection and lead/follow dynamic of the hitch versus the syncopation and styling of the hitch.
- The Mobile Anchor – Master the art of maintaining connection and purpose in your anchor step, all while exploring its versatility across various positions and locations on the dance floor.
- Adding Flavor to Your WCS – Elevate your dance by integrating new stylings into various moves. This workshop will empower you to apply styling techniques beyond their original context, enriching your dance repertoire.
React & Adapt Intensive
(3 Hour Deep Dive)
Explore the back and forth action, reaction, and adaptation within our imperfect lead follow system, paying attention to the subtle (or not so subtle) differences in timing, spacing, shaping that can make even the same pattern feel different and interesting every time… Leading to smoother and more creative dances. Will you be selling individual workshops or dance entrance?
The Saturday night social dance can be purchased for $10 and the Saturday workshop is $25 at the door. You can’t prepay for these online. The 3 Sunday workshops and Q&A can’t be purchased separately.
Am I "good enough" to attend these workshops?
Maybe you’re thinking, “This all sounds great, Jonathan, but do I need to be an advanced dancer to take these classes?” Absolutely not! If you’re comfortable with your 6 & 8 count basics (sugar push, left & right side pass, tuck, whip, reverse whip), then you’re good! Don’t know one of those yet? Find a place that has beginner WCS classes prior to the event!
No matter if you’re a novice or an all-star, everyone can get something amazing from Ben Morris.

Victoria Henk & Ben Morris
Victoria Henks dance shenanigans began at age 4 with ballet, gymnastics, hip hop and jazz. She was introduced to West Coast Swing when she began training at the Schwimmer’s 5678 Dance Studio at the age of 8, and her love for both solo dancing and West Coast Swing was cultivated through the Juniors Jazz & West Coast Swing teams. When Victoria began competing she quickly met with success, winning the 2014 NASDE All Star tour, then moving into the Champions division where she soon began to final and place.
Ben Morris waited until the ripe old age of 12 to begin his dance career and kicked things off with the Lindy Hop before adding West Coast Swing to the mix. He became a Champion dancer in both, and is now a 3 time U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion, NASDE Routines Tour Winner, Spirit of Lindy Hop award winner, and California Swing Dance Hall of Fame award winner. He’s also originally from Denver Colorado!!
Ben and Victoria began partnering together in 2015, getting 2nd in the Classic division their first time competing together, and winning the 2016 US Open Classic Division. Together they travel around the world teaching, performing, and spreading their love for West Coast Swing.
Refund/Exchange Policy
If for some reason you get sick or are injured leading up to the event, we can credit the cost of your pass towards a future WCS Masterclass Event or you can transfer your pass to someone else. You must notify us at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event. We usually have 2-3 WCS pros come out to Denver every year to do workshops and intensives. Note: We do not issue full refunds.
